Conducting Interviews Certificate

Conducting Interviews

The process of conducting interviews is a highly nuanced one. When a company wishes to find and employ a new individual for a job vacancy, there is a process of action that needs to be taken to both efficiently and fairly source the right candidate.

In the middle of this hiring process, is the interview itself – but to be a successful interviewer, you will need to understand the full extent of recruitment and recognise what it takes for a job applicant to become an employee of your company.

In this course, you will learn everything you need to know to be an effective communicator, a patient and active listener, and a good, fair selector when it comes down to choosing the right candidate. You will learn the basics of interview styles and formats, as well as job vacancy preparation, and how to create the ideal candidate profile.

You will also learn about how to maintain rapport during an interview, how to create both structured and unstructured interview formats and what the most traditional and useful interview questions are.

Finally, you will learn about discrimination, and discover what it takes to show equality and inclusion in conducting your interviews and making that final selection.

What you will learn:

      • The different types, styles, forms and techniques of interviews and how you can cater them to your specific need.
      • How to avoid discriminatory behaviour, and conduct interviews that promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
      • Ways in which you can specifically structure behavioural interviews to find the perfect candidate for your company.

Benefits of taking this course:

        • Tips and hints on how to make the hiring process simple and efficient.
        • You will learn different methods of interviewing candidates.
        • It can open doors to further your knowledge on conducting interviews and candidate selection.

  • Once you recognise the importance of interviews and the different formats in which they are held, you will then need to recognise what it takes to draw applicants into the interview process. This will come down to one critical point: how you advertise for the role.

  • The benefits of pre-interview testing and conducting a technical assessment, regardless of the position that you’re filling
  • The different types of interview structures that you can use

I really enjoyed this course. Was a lot of reading and had to stop and try to take it in.

There were 21 modules, and most of them took 45 minutes to complete, so you need to be in a position, where you actually have the time to do all the tasks that are required. The tasks are mainly to do things by yourself to practise what you have just read, but doing it will help you out so much.

Will be looking for another course, as I enjoyed this so much, definitely worth the price as the certificate is worth more on your cv.

This is an absolutely brilliant course, I really enjoyed it and it consists of very detailed information. The test at the end was slightly tricky so it’s important to pay attention to all aspects of the course content. I would highly recommend this course to anyone thinking of becoming a wedding planner, with an interest in this topic or even to anyone who is getting married as there’s a lot of information which could be found useful and certain things that give you good ideas. I loved this course and I’m sad it’s over. It was definitely brilliant from start to finish and is great value for money!

Natasha Boreland

I was already quite proficient in many areas that this course covers as I have worked similar jobs before but felt I could benefit from a qualification. This is a very in depth course that covers all areas of being a personal assistant, even ones that I wouldn’t have ever considered needing to learn.

The in-depth learning has built my confidence to put myself out there and try to get back into this career path. I particularly found the section on faxing to be very useful as it’s something that is done in most offices that I’ve found it difficult to come to grips with in the past.

I am already eyeing up more courses on the site and will be sure to give them a try soon.

Maria Casey

Amazing course, easy to understand and very straight forward. It gives you a chance to review previous modules, also you are able to take notes and save them in your course profile, where you can check them at any time.

Along with the course, you get rewards for completing your course modules. It opens the door to a chance of doing something you like or changing your career, also for people that just want to get new skills in different areas.

Do it at your own pace from your own home, I usually do it on my days off. Totally worth it, I recommend it.

Sara Correia

Really good course that covered lots of different areas within events planning. I liked that, if there were any questions you got wrong on the tests, you could find out which ones and try again. Lots of case studies to look through too.

Hannah Lemmon

The course covers all the necessary aspects of SEN education, and is produced in manageable modules for learning.

In terms of value and content, I would rate this as one of the best online diploma courses.
