Food Psychology for Mind and Body Certification
Food Psychology for Mind and Body
This course is designed to help you better understand your relationship to food and eating, mind and body. The course offers a mixture of theory around the psychology of eating, nutritional principles and practical tips on how to establish and sustain a healthy mindset around food and your body. It is not a diet or a meal plan.
It will guide you through a deeper understanding of your identity as an eater, as well as outline how to harness this insight, in order to create a compassionate, intuitive, healthy and freeing relationship with food, which will support your holistic wellbeing and sense of self.
Please note that the course is intended for educational purposes only: it is not a form of therapy. If you feel that you need therapeutic support for disordered eating, the course provides guidance on where to seek it.
You will Learn:
- An introduction to food psychology: the factors that underlie the what, how, why and when of our eating behaviours
- How to recognize your own food behaviors and mindset around eating through self-awareness
- How to make holistically healthier choices, based on intuitive, embodied insight into what wholesomely feeds and fuels your life
- How to cultivate a mindset of self-love around food and your body
- How diet culture has been unhealthily normalised in our society, and how we can healthily reject its influence on our eating psychology
- How intuitive eating as a practice can help you navigate a new, healthy and balanced relationship to food, as well as to life
- How your relationship to food and body is a mirror to your relationship with life
- How to get help if you feel you are struggling with disordered eating
Benefits of Taking This Course:
- Gain greater understanding of how you think, feel and behave around food
- Learn how to make your relationship with food more conscious and more aligned with healthy principles
- Foster an intuitive relationship with food and your body — one that is driven by what feels balanced, nourishing and satisfying at an embodied level
- Gain autonomy from diet culture and diet mentality
- Gain insight into where your relationship with food and your body reflects other possible areas of growth in your life, and step into those with newfound confidence

Thoroughly enjoyed this course. Have decided to change my career path but have no real experience or qualifications in the job I really want to do.
I have always wanted to work with animals but ended up in the retail sector. While I do enjoy that, I feel now is the time to get out there and do what I want to do. I have sent in my CV to a dog groomer near me with a copy of my certificate attached. Fingers crossed!
I enjoyed this Diploma so much I shall be having a go at another pet/dog related one in the very near future!

The course is informative and easy to follow. I especially liked the history tips given throughout the course.
I have included the payroll Diploma course to add another skill set to my CV and being self employed and in the mature bracket it is good to keep yourself updated on all new legislation. I also liked the option of returning to complete modules in your own time to fit in around work commitments.

This is an amazing course. Easy to follow and understand.
I am working with children already and I wanted to do a SEN course to extend my knowledge and able to work with a wide range of children including those with special needs. This course has twice the modules as an average SEN course, so it provides great knowledge in the subject. And this is perfect as it’s CPD accredited course. And the price was just unbelievable!!
The course has email tutor support and lifetime access to the course material which is brilliant for a mum, who is working currently as a volunteer to gain work experience.

I completed the international massage diploma months ago and love to keep revisiting modules. I learn something new each and every time because there’s such a wealth of information presented in a beautifully user-friendly way with excellent videos to accompany each massage technique.
I’m already a working massage therapist, who enjoys attending short courses to up-skill and be able to provide my clients with more value. And ‘The New Skills Academy’ massage course is simply one of the best investments I’ve made in my ongoing professional development.
I’m now a whizz at facial massage (something they didn’t teach at massage school) and Lomi-Lomi too! Highly recommended!

Yet another well laid out course. This is my 3rd course so far with New Skills Academy.
More than likely will be back for another one soon. This course was enjoyable to do, and I learnt a lot and passed first try. My certificate will be up on the wall soon.

It was an eye opening course that was flexible and easy to access. I was able to complete it from the comfort of my own home whilst also having the tasks to complete which enabled me to check my knowledge. I know feel much more confident in my field of work and really enjoyed doing it.
Ellie Clarke
I took up this course initially to help me with my own dog, but found that as I worked through the material I actually started thinking that this could be something that I could use to make a second income. From start to finish I found the course engaging and interesting. I am now doing another dog related course and am experiencing the same level of enjoyment. I would recommend New Skills Academy without hesitation.
Keith Smith
Wow what an incredible insight for the start of anyone's journey in property. This course gives you so much information and there are tests and questions on each of the modules. The course is very easy to follow and well laid out. You can actually make notes on the pages of each module using the notes tab! I am very excited to say that I passed and I only spent one week on this course. I will print all the PDF information and keep it in a file with my certificate. I feel very confident for my future plans now I have completed this course.
